raising taxes again? for what??

reading in the paper yesterday that the city needs to find new ways to increase revenue. how about allowing worldwide known buisnesses to move in and set up shop? Colt Firearms? Payless Shoes? hello? how about being small business friendly and not killing small business owners with nit picky rules and regulations that have nothing to do with the price of tea in china and are only there to make the enforcer of the rules have a job? the city councel is trying to kill this town with taxes? for what reason? so we can maintain our small town feel? our small town politcs? our small town boredom? if the prisons were not here, what would this town do for income? city councel, think outside the box here. don't rely on co's to pay your taxes. they don't even shop here! bring in growing business! allow others to grow! stop taxing us to the point of poverty! susanville really really needs something for the kids/teens to do. besides get drunk, do drugs and steal things. we do not need to raise yet another generation of susanville stupid! give these kids an idea of what life in the outside world is really like, teach them to be smart and responsible. make it better for them to show up to work than to be stoned. city councel, raising the sales tax is not your answer........ think again
